Pea protein is a fairly new type of protein supplement. One of its distinct advantages is that compared to other protein powders, pea protein is very easy to digest, which means for people with bowel conditions it is a better solution compared to other supplements on the market. In addition, pea protein presents a low allergy risk, compared to other supplements and best of all, it is fairly inexpensive.
For people that suffer bowel conditions or are lactose intolerance, so can't drink milk or eat cheese, absorbing enough protein can be difficult. This makes bodybuilding or exercise hard, because without enough protein, you can't get the same results as people that consume plenty of protein. However, pea protein isolate provides an ideal solution, not just for people with the aforementioned conditions, but also for anybody wanting an effective source of protein to supplement their diet. Furthermore, pea protein is sweet tasting, so has none of the nasty aftertastes that other protein supplements sometimes have.
Pea Protein Isolate comes from the kernels of the golden pea. As a protein, it is extremely fulsome, containing plenty of amino acids that can increase muscle mass and reduce fat levels. Furthermore, it is lactose, gluten, soya free and grown completely naturally. Typically, pea protein contains over 80 percent protein, which makes it one of the best forms of protein supplement you can get. Furthermore, it has what is known as a high biological value. This means the body easily absorbs it, so pea protein is fast acting. To get the greatest benefits from pea protein, take it just before or just after exercise with some sugar or glucose. This will help encourage insulin production, ensuring the protein gets to where it is needed the most.

Who cares what it tastes like? It's protein powder, not a meal out. Good price, lasts me 2 months and much lower fat than every dairy-based powder I've ever used. Excellent.(Overall rating: 5 / 5.00)
Pea protein is alright!
Just recieved my order of pea protein and wanted to try it straight away. I've read loads of reviews saying how horrible it tastes but its no where near gag inducing. Its got a vegetable-nutiness to it but even that's not overpowering.(Overall rating: 5 / 5.00)
Review Title
I'm a vegan, but I was always a bit concerned about soy protein because the US is so resistant to labelling their GMO stuff. I then tried pea protein concentrate and found it great for muscle gain. Admittedly, the taste is forgettable, but through a bit of experimentation I've found an ideal (for me) mixture. Add one tablespoon of choccy powder, one of banana flavour (normally for milk shakes), one of dessicated coconut (unsweetened) and about 10 ml of strawberry cordial. Mix with water and scoff like porridge. It's for winners!(Overall rating: 5 / 5.00)
Pea Protein
Not the worst thing I've ever drank but I must say it does taste odd. Imagine drinking a pair of old shoes with a slight dash of nuts. Other than the taste it mixes really well and it's great value for money.(Overall rating: 5 / 5.00)

pea protein isolate
Im Lactose intolerent. Most people are, changed to pea protein with soya milk instead of cows milk. Its the only change ive made to my diet but my energy levels have gone up, my weights have gone up, a lot, my guts and breath are better, my headaches which i didnt even realise I had have gone. My gains have been better with 5 kilos of this than they have with six months of high quality whey. Tastes like crap but who cares, life changing stuff iron science, thanks.(Overall rating: 5 / 5.00)

Pea protein
The taste is rank and does have a reminiscent taste of chalky pea's also the BV value is lower than quality whey but I have seen noticeable results and is ideal for vegetarians and vegans who can not consume or allergic to animal based protein.(Overall rating: 4 / 5.00)
