Haroldus Dambruskas Age 32 from London.

Winner of the ukbff under 100kg 2011

At a gym in London by the name of Muscleworks , East London you hear many East European accents being spoken, and the guys there are real hardcore! One such guy who decided to migrate from Lithuania to the UK, is Haroldas Dambrauskas, or Haris as his friends call him.

Until a year ago Haris was pretty much unheard of in UK bodybuilding, even though he had been living here for some time. The reason being that Haris had been involved in a major car crash back in 2006. Haris was on a roll with his bodybuilding, winning Local, then European, then World championships. His physique was in top shape then disaster happened – the car accident. Haris lost over 30 kilograms of muscle, and was advised by doctors not to train again. He had pins put in his knees and for several months could not Even Walk. Yet despite these challenges Haris never lost his passion for bodybuilding or his dream of training seriously and competing again. In October 2007 Haris found Muscleworks and from the second he walked through the door of that famous London Bodybuilding gym he knew he would fight to reclaim his physique.

In October 2007 he was only 81 Kilos and by July 2008 he was standing at 5ft 8” with a lean off-season weight of 112kilos. Despite being told he would never train again, occasionally the whole of the gym stops to watch him squatting 6 plates either side. One personal trainer commented ’I have rarely seen anyone squat that weight with such perfect form’. Haris seems to have that do or die Eastern European attitude – he has built his physique back to impressive proportions. Haris states ‘ In the gym there is no nonsense. Cannot is a word I do not understand’. Haris began weight training at the age of 10, inspired by his father and the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger. Haris recalls his father encouraging him to train at this early age.

He first competed at the age of sixteen – winning the under 16 and under 18 classes. At that point he was a ripped 63 kgs. Since then he has competed a further 30 times.

“The sheer range of products available from IronScience is second to none and they provide everything a bodybuilder could ever need, from aminos’ to a variety of protein products. I try and feed my muscles protein regularly so I am a huge fan of IronScience whey protein powders”

With Regards,

Haris.
